Yesterday my best friend and I went out and I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to do an OOTD post ^^ !
I actually got ready a few hours early, so I decided to photowhore a little, just a little.
The blurry effect was on accident, but it looked cool ^^ |
We saw this statue on Bourke Street, I didn't realise it was a real person acting as a statue! The man on the right is a real statue and the man on the left is a real human! We were saying how he must be pretty strong.. I mean check out his sitting position! No chair or anything, man he must squat a lot!.
Side view. Amazing right? He could sit there for hours and it looks so real... How does he do that?!
This was hilarious, he pulled out a baby doll and started feeding it a bottle of VB. Hahaha gotta love Australian humor!
Finally we went to eat! I wanted to try out "Pepper Lunch" since I've seen some of my friends going to eat here! It's actually quite cool this place!
They have a vary of dishes which I can't really remember, but the variety isn't that wide, but the choices do seem quite appealing.
Here I've ordered the Kimchi Beef Pepper Rice for $10.50. It's actually quite good, the kimchi really gives a boost of flavour and make the dish less boring and bland. I like how it comes in a hot plate, it makes it so much more interesting to eat!
The proportion is so-so, it doesn't completely fill you up, but that leaves your stomach for some dessert afterwards, which is a plus!
Overall, I quite enjoyed this restaurant and I came back today and tried the Chicken Pepper Rice, that was quite bland and needed a lot of seasoning; but the chicken was quite good!
After lunch, we decided to get some dessert! A new dessert store opened on Swanston Street called, "Icy Queen", it's still under some renovation, but the place is quite simple and sweet! It's really cute ^^
The first thing I noticed was the frozen yogurt machine, yes - so Asian of me! So this place has six different flavours of yogurt. Salted caramel, banana, chocolate, plain, green tea and watermelon! I didn't get to try any of these since it was a tad too cold for that, but they look quite good!
I also love the variety of toppings that have for the frozen yogurt! It's a little expensive since it's $2.70 for every 100 grams.
Here's the menu and I must say, compared to other dessert stores, this store is really cheap! Crepes vary from $5-$7 and I think that's quite cheap since the crepe restaurant I used to go to charge around $7-$8 for one!
This store also makes freshly squeezed juice, they even have the fruits and vegetables on display for you to see and choose from! I think that's pretty smart!
The different flavours of ice cream! ^^ They're so prettily decorated and displayed, I really like it |
Arnold ordered a hot nutella crepe which I didn't let him eat until I was finished ordering mine. I'm not sure what it tasted like, but he said it was good, so.. I'll trust him on that!
Here I ordered a 2-scoop ice cream on a waffle bowl; I wanted to add some toppings but the lady said I had to buy it separately since it's charged on weight! I guess this was the time the inner artist came out!
I bought a few lychee, mango and strawberry popping bobbas and a few strawberry to put on top!
Gotta have some food porn shots right? ;) |
So after making our stummies happy, we decided to go and play some games for free at EB Games! ^^
This was the mini upstairs where the Wii games are! We ended up playing Mario Karts on the Wii, which was really fun. We had 4 races; I lost by 5 points, ONLY 5 points! I would've won if it weren't for those damn shells hitting me!
Do you have the address for Icy Queen? Please add this to Urbanspoon as I and others would like to try the place.
ReplyDeleteIcy Queen isn't on Urbanspoon since it's still very new, but the address for it is, 158 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000 :)
